Mr. KEMP. for joining with me in reserving this time to discuss the issue of emigration for Soviet Jewry. on the occasion of meetings being held between Secretary of State George Shultz. and Soviet Foreign Minister Eduard Shevardnardze. Mr. Speaker. I was privileged yesterday. to receive in my office. Irena and Michael CaraIvanov. who were previously refuseniks in the Soviet Union. Currently. Irena and Michael live in the State of Israel and they are visiting the United States on a special mission to meet with officials in our government. They are traveling with Avital Shcharansky.
