The Soviets decision to release Yuli was long overdue. Although this decision was certainly a step in the right direction. it is not enough. Now. the Soviets must give Yuli and his family permission to emigrate from the Soviet Union. Yuli has suffered in the Soviet Union long enough. His greatest desire is to live in Israel. where he will be able to freely and openly practice his faith. He deserves no less. I will continue to press the Soviets at every opportunity until they grant Yull and his family permission to emigrate. I hope my colleagues will do the same.*
