Mr. Speaker. I thank the gentleman for yielding me the time. and I hope I am as knowledgeable as the gentleman says I am. Mr. Speaker. I risein support of the rule and I urge its adoption by the House so that we can get on to the longawaited task of voting on immigration reform. Let me salute briefly three people who had a lot to do with the fact we are here today. One is my friend from California who from the start has been a stalwart supporter of ours on the Rules Committee. to get that job done.
