Dr. Meiman has been trying to emigrate since 1974. his wife since 1979. They seek to be reunited with his daughter. Olga Plam. a naturalized American citizen who lives in Boulder. CO. The 75yearold scientist spoke to me about his wife. who is terminally ill with cancer and is in desperate need of medical treatment that is unavailable in the Soviet Union.
