Session #99 · 1985–87

Speech #990274778

It is our way of letting the Soviets know that we will not tolerate their relentless campaign to snuff out freedom. It is our signal to the Soviets that they have not won our favor by releasing Tolya Shcharansky or Yuri Orlov. We will not relent until Naum and Inna and their compatriots can emigrate to the lands of their choice. until they can join their loved ones abroad. I urge my colleagues to vote for this important resolution. and again want to thank Chairman FASCELL and Chairman YATRON for their help in bringing House Concurrent Resolution 404 to the floor today.
