That resolution now carries the bipartisan cosponsorship of 218 other Members of the House. House Concurrent Resolution 404 calls on the Soviet Union to approve immediately the exit visas for Dr. Naum Meiman and his wife. Inna KitrosskayaMeiman. It also calls on the Soviets to resolve all outstanding divided spouses and separated family cases between the United States and the Soviet Union and to guarantee to all Soviet citizens the right to emigrate to the country of their choice. Passage of this resolution would signal President Reagan and Secretary Gorbachev that these concerns should be of the highest priority on the Iceland agenda. It is indeed a shame that we need to consider this resolution here today.
