I thought you would be interested In a summary of the briefing. During her visit to Congress. accompanied by members of the Congressional Human Rights Caucus. Lydia Staskevich described the unrelenting persecution that she. her family. and thousands of other Soviet citizens face daily in their attempts to worship in the Christian faith. Allowed to emigrate only recently following intense pressure from Congress and human rights organizations. Mrs. Staskevich detailed her plight and that of her fellow countrymen.
