I think it is important also that we start reviewing the things that are taking place now. in this House. The things that are taking place at this very moment. I would like to review for the gentleman the fact. first of all. that the Immigration bill is not something that just started this year. It has been a period of almost 15 years or more that we have had a socalled immigration reform bill before the House of Representatives. It has always been called immigration reform. but in each instance. it does not deal with immigration reform. It dealt primarily with the constant supply of cheap labor into the United States. In the bill that has now been presented to the House. we find again that there is very little reform. but a great deal to do with the supply of free labor.
