This unfortunate decision on the part of the House makes it the third time that the Senate has approved immigration reform only to see it die in the House. That the Senate was able to successfully deal with this very complex and controversial bill is largely due to the leadership and perseverance of the assistant majority leader. Senator ALAN SIMPSON.
