I would like to bring to the attention of my colleagues a resident of New Orleans in my home State of Louisiana whose place of business is a local institution. I am referring to Mr. John Vojkovich. owner of the Cresent City Restaurant. a New Orleans landmark for more than 50 years. After arriving in America as a young immigrant from Yugoslavia. Mr. Vojkovich introduced the city to a unique method of steak preparation which has since become known as "the New Orleans Style." But the great success of his restaurant cannot be attributed only to the quality of his food.
