The last 7 years have been difficult for Dr. Marinov. his wife Lilia. and their daughters Maria and Dina. The Marinovs and the thousands of other Jewish families suffer from restrictions in jobs. schooling. and all aspects of Soviet life. They are victims of statesponsored. institutionalized racism. The right to emigrate is guaranteed by the Helsinki Final Act. the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and several other agreements to which the Soviet Union is a signatory. Because basic human rights are being denied to these Jewish refuseniks. Members of Congress and the American people should continue to support the Call to Conscience Vigil for Soviet Jews.
