Trunzo. chairman of the Liberty Centennial Celebration Committee. says: "Just as the immigrants showed uncommon courage by seeking freedom and opportunity In the New World. we feel it takes common courage to approach a fete such as our celebration for Miss Liberty in these hard economic times." The beacon which Is expected to draw thousands of visitors to Glassport will be an 8foot high replica of the Lady herself. Originally destined for the Ellis Island Museum. the Lions Club arranged for Its purchase through the Ellis Island Foundation. Preceding the scheduled affair. which opens Friday.
