Speaker. I want to bring to the attention of my colleagues an article written by William G. Hollingsworth that appeared in the April 3 issue of the Christian Science Monitor regarding the problem of illegal immigration. While I do not support granting amnesty to illegal aliens at any time. I agree wholeheartedly with Mr. Hollingsworth that if Congress decides to grant amnesty. it should do so only after it brings illegal immigration under control. Granting amnesty without knowing that we have our borders under control is a prescription for disaster. and I urge my colleagues interested in this issue to read Mr. Hollingsworths article to find out why.
