Mr. Speaker. 2 weeks ago. the Asia Society held a conference in Manhattan on IndianAmericans. an often overlooked immigrant group. The conference was called "The Indian Immigration Experience." It described the problems confronting IndianAmericans. as well as their emerging role in this country. A recent New York Times magazine contained an article on a related subject. the bright new generation of leaders in India. The article. entitled "The Rajiv Generation." describes this generation and their leader. Indias Prime Minister. Mr. Rajiv Gandhi. I am inserting in the RECORD an article on the Asia Society conference as well as excerpts from the Times magazine article for my colleagues perusal.
