Tatiana is regularly harassed and threatened by the KGB. and earlier this year she was isolated for a period of time from her Western contacts. her travel within the Soviet Union has been restricted and she has also had difficulty obtaining permission to visit her husband in the Bazoi camp. Mr. Speaker. the Human Contacts Meeting in Bern is a forum. where we can address the flagrant violations of human rights agreements. Hopefully. we will see improved attitudes in Bern when the U.S. delegation addresses individual cases that have violated the human contacts guidelines set forth by international agreements and hopefully. these new attitudes will lead to the resolution of many of the cases of individuals who desire to emigrate.
