Secretary Bennett has traveled across the country to speak to groups about education in America. lie recently addressed the Vietnamese League of Orange County. CA. and acknowledged the impressive educational achievements of AsianAmerican immigrants to the United States. The Secretary couldnt have been more right when he said. What I believe the success of AsianAmericans demonstrates is the importance of valuesvalues which people carry with them in their heads and in their hearts. values which remain with them when their possessions are gone. and their homeland just a memory.
