He certainly faced the great quandary of tragic choices. Still. I think we must feel that many would believe that the choice should be his. and he had every opportunity to state that decision for political asylum and that desire and that mere declaration in any language or as a grunt. I mean we really handle asylum cases. when they are asked in any language. "Do you want asylum." and you say "Uh huh" that is enough. And that is the Haitians. that is the El Salvadorans. that is the Nicaraguans. whoever is fleeing persecution in the world. That is enough.
