Then we resume consideration of S. 1200. the immigration bill. I hope we can limit the debate to the immigration bill. We are hoping for passage of that bill. and I urge my colleagues who wish to debate the Social Security matter to save that for another bill. It has nothing to do with the immigration bill. The immigration bill is very important legislation. It is my view that if we pass it this early in the session. it will bring pressure on the House to act. and we can end up with a good immigration bill this year. something that has been needed in this counti y for a number of years. I hope my distinguished colleagues. the Senator from Pennsylvania and the Senator from Arkansas . would be willing to work out some arrangement so they can bring up Social Security with all its implications at a later date.
