I must make a confession for many of our Nations agricultural employers. particularly in the West. They have become completely dependent on illegal alien workers to plant. cultivate. harvest. and prepare their crops for market. I have talked to many of these honest and lawabiding people. and have held hearings on this subject in Arizona with my distinguished colleague in the House. Congressman UDALL. These growers and ranchers have not come to this dependency on illegal workers by their own choice.
