Session #99 · 1985–87

Speech #990081300

Mr. President. I appreciate the patience of my colleaguesmatched only by my own and that of the minority member of the subcommittee. Senator KENNEDY. We are ready to proceed now with the immigration legislation. There have been some accommodations made. An amendment or two that would have taken a great deal of time perhaps have been resolved. and we await in a very few minutes Senator WILSON to present a very important amendment. He will be taking that up. It is one that deserves your careful attention. But at this point I yield to Senator MAx BAUCUS who has an amendment with regard to user fees.
