We ignore. as anybody who has talked about amnesty. has anybody talked about giving amnesty to those people who have been waiting for 7 or 8 years to get in here legally? How about amnesty for those people? How about saying. Let everybody who has been waiting come in? I have not heard that. We are working strictly on those who are illegal aliens in this country. and it is wrong. and the American people know it is wrong. and that is why this Congress was unable to pass legislation last year in the 98th Congress. because it had the amnesty provision in it. Otherwise. legislation would have come out of this body. On the subject of amnesty. again.
