I thank the gentleman for yielding. While I am going to seek my own time. I did want to commend the gentleman in the well for his leadership on the whole issue of immigration. and especially in the area of refugee assistance and targeted programs. I note. for instance. that Kentucky is not on the list of States being given this money in reimbursement specifically for the kinds of funds which local communities are having to put out. and I want to commend the gentleman that. notwithstanding that his own home State is not one blessed with refugees nor reimbursed for them. he has taken such a strong lead on the issue. I really think the gentleman understands the nature of the problem. that it is a Federal problem given over to the States for the desire of the Federal Government to save money at the national level. and yet the bottom line is that the local taxpayer is going to fund this program inappropriately and wrongly when the Federal Government refuses to pay for the cost of refugees that they have allowed to come to this country. and perhaps for the benefit of the country. those refugees who in the future may be of great value.
