I think that the Morrison/ Pursell amendment would be an absolute. total. abysmal error to be made by this House. and I want to just add to what the chairman has said. not only would this deny flexibility to the President in handling refugee programs. but specifically this unwellthoughtout amendment to be offered actually slashes health screening money by nearly half: from $14 million to $8.7 million. to help protect the refugees and the indigenous population against tuberculosis and parisitic diseases.
