Irina. has gone to Dnepropetrovsk to search the archives for her mothers birth certificate. It is open to conjecture. if and when this document is produced. whether the authorities will accept the application or raise still another technicality. These developments. which find Brailovsky jobless and his emigration application stalled. are fraught with potential for prolonging his long ordeal.
