I have sat in court session after court session in my hometown of Laredo where there have been courtrooms full of illegal aliens being sentenced by a Federal judge. Let me just bring this to your attention. Mr. Chairman. and to the attention of my colleagues. and show you how this thing works. Those of us from the Southwest who have lived with this problem all of our lives are very familiar with the procedures. I do not care what kind of laws you write. when it comes to translating them into practical procedure. they sound a little bit different and they are applied a little bit different.
