When compared to the destruction of human souls. when compared to the suffering Andrei Sakharov and Elena Bonner have endured. such issues of high policy pale in significance. That is why I have cosponsored Senate Concurrent Resolution 113. introduced by my distinguished colleagues Senator TSONGAS and Senator MOYNIHAN. It expresses the sense of the Congress that Elena Bonner receive immediate medical attention. that Andrei Sakharovs internal exile in Gorky come to an end and that the Sakharovs be allowed to emigrate to the country of their choice. This is no time for partisanship. no time for pride of authorship. We are running out of time in our efforts to save the lives of Andrei Sakharov and Elena Bonner.
