There is every indication Ms. Kunyavsky possesses the unique skills and determination which would enable her to represent our country in a most outstanding manner. As you may recall. Mr. Speaker. the House has precedent for action to waive certain naturalization requirements. Just this year. the Congress moved expeditiously to grant U.S. citizenship on behalf of an Olympic skier. Auden Endestad. so that he could compete in the winter games. While the committee is always reluctant to take this extraordinary step. the precedent set earlier this year cannot be ignored.
