Mr. Speaker. December 17 will be a special day in my district this year. On this date 50 years ago. Antonio and Rose Polvorosa were married at St. Leanders Church. San Leandro. Calif. Antonio arrived in this country from Spain as a young boy in 1913. Rose came to America in 1915. Married in 1933. these new immigrants made the American dream work. They have contributed richly to the fabric of San Leandro. Mr. Polvorosa has been an active participant in both local and State government. He has served on the San Leandro Planning Commission and the board of zoning adjustment.
