Session #98 · 1983–85

Speech #980109124

I would like to take this opportunity to join with those honoring Dimas Costa and commend him to the U.S. House of Representatives. Dimas is a native of Terceira in the Azores and emigrated to the United States in 1951. He started in dairy work as a milker and made a goal to be among the top achievers. 7 years later. he formed a threeway partnership in Artesia with a herd of 280 and produced an average of 53 pounds per day from each of 240 milking cows. After relocating to Chino he changed to a twoway partnership and then started his own business in 1967.
