I would like to address myself to the question of the amendment offered by Senator HAWKxiNS of Florida. Mr. President. the plight of Soviet Jews who are denied the opportunity to emigrate is always on our minds. In recent months. it has become increasingly difficult for even a small number of Soviet Jews to emigrate. And despite the claims of the socalled antiZionist Committee. there is no one here. and no one in the world who will believe that there are just a few hundred or thousand Jews who wish to emigrate now. There are several hundred thousand. Let us not forget those brave and persevering individuals whose cases have become known outside the Soviet Union.
