The 39th ward is an integral part of the 11th Congressional District of Illinois which I have the honor to represent in the Congress. Our city is fortunate to have such a dedicated and responsible individual as Alderman Laurino. who has been contributing to the wellbeing of the citizens in our community for the last half century. Anthony Laurino. the youngest child of Italian immigrants. began his service to the city of Chicago on July 13. 1931. when he was employed as a clerk by the department of water. In March 1948. he was transferred to the city collectors office. where he became a license investigator. In 1964.
