Mr. Speaker. I am pleased to have the opportunity today to support House Resolution 269. introduced in the House on behalf of Yuli Kosharovsky and his family.Yuli Kosharovsky. a radio electronics engineer and one of Moscows leading Hebrew teachers. has been a Soviet refusenik for 11 years. He and his family continue to wait for the Soviet authorities to honor their human and constitutional right to emigrate. Yuli Kosharovsky and his wife. Inna. have been unable to find work in their professional fields and Soviet authorities have tethered the life of the Kosharovskys teenage son. Mikhail. For all these years the Kosharovskys have lived with the systematic harassment of the KGB and. most recently. a search of their home during which Soviet authorities confiscated all Hebrew and English materials. including personal letters.
