The usual aspect of it. of course. is that Dr. Gluzman. for reasons which in this country we would consider a perfectly normal expression of human freedom. has been sentenced to 7 years in prison. that prison term now completed. and 3 years in internal exile. that term ending 1 week from today. on May 11. He has been denied. at least to this point. the opportunity to emigrate to Israel as he wishes. to join relatives there. This. of course. is in violation of the Helsinki agreements. This. as I say. is an all too usual occurrence in the Soviet Union.
