Nurnberger also teaches diplomatic history and international relations at Georgetown University. where he is a Fellow at the Center for Strategic and International Studies. He previously served as a foreign policy adviser to former Senator James Pearson and as a staff member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. What makes this article particularly poignant is Dr. Nurnbergers personal involvement with the issue. His parents are refugees from Hitlers Germany. and in fact. his father was the only member of the Nurnberger family to survive the Holocaust. Dr. Nurnbergers personal commitment to the ideals of the Genocide Convention are reflected in this article. which I urge my colleagues to read.
