There are about 17 localities that do not have community action agenries. but do have limited purpose agencies serving the community. This amendment would put those 17 LPAs on the same eligibility footing as CAAs for commmunity service block grant funds. The second part of the amendment would clarify that nonprofit private community organizations or migrant and seasonal farmworker organizations can receive funds directly from the State rather than having to get them through political subdivisions of the State. This section of the amendment simply add a comma to the appropriate section o the community services block grant. The second committee technica amendment would modify the definitior of household that is currently in thi LowIncome Home Energy Act.
