A change in name from the "Subcommittee on InterAmerican Affairs" to the "Subcommittee on InterAmerican and Caribbean Affairs" to properly distinguish between Latin America and the Caribbean and to give needed emphasis to the latter. Fifth. Increased allocations to Caribbean nations now receiving bilateral aid. and initiation of bilateral aid. along with continuation of multilateral aid. to the smaller Eastern Caribbean nations. Sixth. Increased trade. and elimination of all discriminatory tariffs. which contradict our advocacy of a free enterprise system in the Caribbean. Seventh. Amnesty for undocumented Caribbean workers in the United States. including the Virgin Islands. Eighth. A more humane and equitable policy toward Haitian entrants and refugees. Ninth. A more conciliatory stance toward the Government of Grenada. including accreditation of the Grenadian Ambassadordesignee to the United States.
