Speaker. I understand from the gentleman from Ohio. as he explained it and as it was explained to me by the Judiciary Committee staff. that these bills do not have to be brought up before this House. There is an omnibus immigration bill in the other body passed by this House that would cure all of the individual problems facing the people covered by these bills. but that for reasons of senatorial vanity. or otherwise. demand has been made that each individual bill be considered. notwithstanding the fact that the bill over there would take care of them.
