Fla. His service on the House Committee on Education and Labor came at a crucial time for the citizens of our State. As Florida was bearing the greatest impact from the influx of Cuban refugees. it was ED STACK who led the effort to have the Federal Government assume its share of the responsibility for the education of incoming Cuban students. He sponsored and passed the Refugee Education Assistance Act. H.R. 7859. which was signed into law by the President in a ceremony in Floridas State capital. His service on the House Committee on Merchant Marine and Fisheries and the Select Committee on Aging has also been exemplary.
