I do have one additional question: s Has the administration taken any steps to - convene an international conference for the resettlement of Cuban refugees so that the I United States does not have to bear the exclusive burden of resettling all of the people who do leave Cuba through one means or anotherand if not. why not? Mr. PALmIESr. I will take that question for the State Department. The answer is that a conference is being considered with other Latin American countries and other countries who may attend outside of Latin America. We think its a good idea. because we have. from the start. regarded the Cuban emergency as a hemispheric problem.
