However. I would hope the gentleman would not object to this hearing this afternoon. because I think we have all the parties here. and I think we are all anxious to get the information from the Representatives that are here and fulfill our role. even though I think it Is a very inadequate role. I would offer an amendment to this legislation to the effect that we would have to give approval to these figures with regard to refugees. but notwithstanding that. we passed the bill In another form. I think this hearing is in order and appropriate. I think it would be very useful to all of us to have the information that we can get this afternoon.
