Recent events inside the Soviet Union and other Soviet bloc countries show just how much the freedom to exercise religious beliefs is denied. People courageous enough to proclaim and preach the word of God are harassed and imprisoned. Those believers who wish to emigrate to freedom are prevented from leaving and are hounded by Government agents and officials. In this regard two recent articles have been brought to my attention. One. appearing in a recent edition of the Wall Street Journal. is a statement by Russian author Alexandr Solzhenitsyn on the treatment of Father Dmitri Dudko and Father Gleb Yakunin by Soviet authorities.
