I am convinced that Zinovij Krasiwski is an extremely intelligent. coherent. normal and personable individual. Zinovij Krasiwski and his family have received invitations from Israel.. Using these invitations. they have applied for permission to emigrate. This. to date has not been granted. In fact. they have only met with delays and harassment. They have also received written invitations from the United States. copies of which I am enclosing. I would like to ask you to inquire of the United States Embassy in Moscow whether they could obtain any information about the status of the Krasiwski familys application to emigrate. I urge you to look into this matter at your earliest convenience because Zinovij Krasiwski is in grave danger of being rearrested at any time. For him. another imprisonment is likely to be fatal.
