As has been pointed out. there is no money in this bill for Mexico. As a matter of fact. I wish we did have some sort of economic assistance program for Mexico. because I think that if the internal economy of that country could be stimulated. it would be good for both Mexico and the United States. One reason why we have illegal immigrants from Mexico coming across our borders is the economic situation in Mexico. I believe that a program of enlightened assistance would be worth considering by the Congress of the United States. In any case. there Is no money in this bill. no authorization. for Mexico.
