Session #96 · 1979–81

Speech #960185751

Isaak was released from prison. Yet even with his release. he continues to be a prisoner in his own country. For the Soviet emigration officials have refused again to grant his request to emigrate to Israel. One can only ask how much suffering can the Soviets inflict on this man? And the answer is sadly clear. I have learned this week that Isaak was called to the local emigration office and told that his application had once more been refused. When he asked why. he was given the chilling answer: "We havent yet finished with you. You are still not in the clear." This incident is a compelling reminder that the madness of Nazi Germany lives on in the Soviet Union.
