The fall of South Vietnam will signal the start of mass executions and reprisals aimed at those who chose to fight for freedom rather than succumb to Communist rule. These people staked their lives on our good word. and we failed them. We can learn from the tragic story of the refugees. They are fleeing toward any sanctuary which will take them out of reach of communism. Refugees never flee toward Communist forces. They flee from communism. There are those who base their objection to American assistance on the fact that they do not like the present governments of nations friendly to us in Southeast Asia.
