I support the efforts of various Lithuanian organizations and others to liberate people and countries who are strangling under the Soviet Governments denial of selfdetermination. free speech. and religious freedom. Americans of Lithuanian descent can be proud of their continued efforts to free their homeland from Soviet oppression. It is important to note that the U.S. Congress can strike a blow for freedom by sending to the President the trade bill which properly denies mostfavorednation status to the Soviet Union for its freeze on emigration. Approval by the Senate of the Housepassed trade bill is urgent and must contain this denial of U.S. aid in trade to the Soviet Union.
