He came to the United States in 1946. and served in varying capacities as a diplomat at the United Nations. He received his M.A. and Ph. D. degrees from Columbia University and the New School of Social Research. respectively. In 1960. Dr. Fatemi became a naturalized U.S. citizen. He is an outstanding scholar who has written many books and articles. and at the present time he serves as the Director of the Graduate Institute of International Studies at Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey. Professor Fatemis reputation and popularity can be gaged by the fact that he always has more students applying to his Graduate Institute than there is space to accommodate them.
