I have heard a number of times. by people in the administration. and by the President himself. in a news conference. that we could make peace with Jordan and Israel. and the problem would be over. But I submit that is not the real problem. The problem is really the eviction of Palestinians from Israel. To solve that problem we somehow have to take care of this situation. I would be much more disposed to support the resolution myself If a section were added to it that would give one the right to emigrate back to his own country whether it be Jews from Russia or Palestinians to Israel. for example. I think we could then turn our attention to the way the Soviet Union treats people who want to emigrate from the Soviet Union.
