I thank the gentleman from Wisconsin. Mr. Speaker. I rise in joining with my colleagues in all of the beautiful things that have been said about Nick Begich and his family. Imbued with the fervent patriotism of his immigrant parents and determined to express it in an effective manner. Nick Begich accomplished more in his short span of life than most men achieve in the proverbial three score years and ten. His buoyant spirit. keen intelligence and compassionate heart suited him especially to represent the remarkable people of Alaska. As his parents had inspired him. so he left a beautiful legacy of dedication to God and country and to the betterment of the quality of life for his fellow man to his valiant and beautiful wife.
