Session #93 · 1973–75

Speech #930041731

I move to strike the requisite number of words. Mr. Chairman. I have given this bill thorough study. I have searched the arguments of its advocates. I have reexamined the debate of last year. I say to Members of this House that I accept the purposes of this bill. but with all my vigor I oppose the methods proposed to achieve those purposes and I. therefore. urge rejection of the bill. I do not argue here for illegal aliens. I do not argue for jobs being filled by such people. at the expense of .our own citizens or the legal aliens. But. as I did last year.
